A purchased licence id is currently only registered for the current Windows user. The licence is valid for another user on the same computer, but the licence id must be entered again for that user.

Free Evaluation License - conditions of use

The Evaluation License lets you try out Dynamic-CD.Net for 30 days. You may not produce any CDs for distribution.
With the Evaluation License,

• only 5 Username - Password combinations can be set
• only 200 files can be served

On reaching these limits, Dynamic-CD.Net terminates.
If you want to release these limits for a short period contact us for a Temporary License.

The evaluation Development Kit is a fully featured version of Dynamic-CD.Net. The limitations noted above are removed by entering a purchased License code. Also removed is the starting text "THIS SOFTWARE IS NOT LICENSED".

Dynamic-CD.Net Licenses

Each CD you produce containing the Dynamic-CD.Net runtime carries an encrypted License identifying you or your company as the registered License holder. Please ensure you purchase an appropriate License for the CDs you intend to produce.

Dynamic-CD.Net is a professional tool for CD publishers. The Professional License has a range of options that let you customise Dynamic-CD.Net to make it appear exactly as you wish. The Professional License allows production of an unlimited number of CDs for a single content owner during one year.

If you do not need the Professional options, opt for the Personal licence if your CD contains up to 200 files, or the Standard licence for unlimited files. These Licenses (other than the Professional License) give an initial splash screen saying "Dynamic-CD is starting up". To decide which License is right for your use, check the table below.

If you provide consultancy services using Dynamic-CD.Net for a number of clients, or if you want to resell Dynamic-CD.Net, or if you want to use the Dynamic-CD.Net Development Kit on a number of computers or a number of sites, contact us for further License arrangements.

The Dynamic-CD.Net ASP.NET Personal Subscription License

The ASP.NET Personal Subscription License lets you use Dynamic-CD-Wizard on one computer and distribute Dynamic-CD.Net on any number of CDs in the year after purchase.

The Personal Subscription License has certain limits -

• a maximum of 5 Username - Password combinations can be set
• a maximum of 50 non-script files can be password protected
• a maximum of 200 files can be stored on the CD

You can create CDs with more than 50 non-script files but files above the limit will not be password protected. The CD storage limit of 200 files is not a limit on the number of files that can be served (the same file is typically served many times). If you want to produce larger CDs, please buy a Standard or Professional Subscription License.

The Dynamic-CD.Net ASP.NET Professional Subscription License

The ASP.NET Professional Subscription License lets you use Dynamic-CD-Wizard on one computer and produce any number of CDs in the year after purchase.

The CDs produced under a Professional Subscription License must be for the direct use of you or your company.

The individual or company identified as the owner of the content of the CD - as distinct from the producer of the CD - will be required to have held a valid Professional Subscription License on the date of distribution of the CD containing the Dynamic-CD.Net runtime.

If you act as consultant for third parties, then an appropriate License should be purchased for each third party (content owner) involved. In the special case where your use of Dynamic-CD.Net is solely for the benefit of a single third party, and not for the benefit of you or your company, then only a single License is required.

This constraint does not affect the Personal or Standard Dynamic-CD.Net Subscription Licenses.

Do I need a new License for each website I put on CD?
No - You can distribute any number of CDs containing the Dynamic-CD.Net software in the year after purchase. You can produce CDs with content from any number of production runs or websites. However, if you hold a Professional License, the content of the production runs or websites must belong to a single owner.

CD
The term CD refers to any form of distribution such as CD, DVD, USB memory device or laptop.

Username - password limitations
A maximum of 5 Username - Password combinations can be set with the Personal License.

Number of CDs per year
Each License specifies the number of CDs carrying the Dynamic-CD.Net runtime that can be distributed to your customers in the year following the License purchase. At the end of each year, a new License must be purchased.

The CDs you produce will themselves never expire - what expires is your right to produce CDs.

Number of content owners
The CDs produced under a Professional Subscription License must be for the direct use of you or your company. The individual or company identified as the owner of the content of the CD - as distinct from the producer of the CD - will be required to have held a valid Professional Subscription License on the date of distribution of the CD containing the Dynamic-CD.Net runtime.

Startup Splash Screen
Dynamic-CD.Net shows an initial dialog Dynamic-CD is starting up for a few seconds during the startup phase. If you require to customise Dynamic-CD.Net by removing the initial startup dialog, by removing the Dynamic-CD.Net icon, or otherwise, you will need to purchase a Professional License.

Encryption limitations
The Personal License limits the number of files that can be encrypted or password protected. You can create CDs with more than 50 non-script files but files above the limit will not be password protected.

File count limitations
The Personal License limits the total number of files that can be stored on the CD to 200 files.
